April 2nd Networking Reception
The sewn products industry of Central Texas is invited to join SPESA Wednesday, April 2nd, for a networking reception* at the Austin Community College (ACC) Fashion Incubator.
The ACC Fashion Incubator is a high-tech facility that educates students, designers-in-residence, and local industry. It was created in partnership with the City of Austin Economic Development Department to provide a real-to-industry educational experience to develop local workforce in the fashion industry. It has also partnered with SPESA member Lectra to provide a unique digital solutions package that significantly reduces the product development and small-run production cost for designers in its designer-in-residence program.
During the networking reception, attendees will have the opportunity to see the facilities studio and design labs as well as its recent injection of $13 million worth of technology, software, machinery, and digitizing equipment.
This event is the kick-off to the 2025 SPESA Advancements in Manufacturing Technologies Conference which will continue the next day, April 3rd, in downtown Austin.
We hope you will all plan to attend the conference in its entirety, as it has so much more to offer in both networking and education, but we know it isn't always easy to take a full day off work. So, we are opening up the Wednesday reception to the public, free of charge. Our goals are to get to know the local industry a little better; help attendees to learn more about the ACC Fashion Incubator, SPESA, and our members; and, of course, have a good time!

The April 2nd Networking Conference is sponsored by SPESA member Lectra. While there is no cost to attend, registration is required.
