Monday Member Spotlight: Consew
In February, the SPESA team traveled to Florida to meet with our Board of Directors, host a SPESA After Hours, and visit with current and prospective members. One of the highlights of the trip was an opportunity to tour the Consew facility in Doral and learn more about the company’s operations and amazing team.
Consew has designed and manufactured reliable machines for the sewing industry since 1898. Today, Consew offers an extensive variety of sewing machines — from standard walking foot machines for upholstery to specialty 4 needle lockstitch machines for parachutes, from long-arm zig-zag (up to 30”) machines for boat sails to extra heavy duty machines for webbing — as well as cutting and pressing equipment. Its machines are well designed for sewing leather, canvas, shoes, saddles, mattresses, tents, tarps, and sails, as well as jeans and other garments.
In addition, Consew manufactures and distributes industrial embroidery equipment under the well-known Meistergram name and machine parts and supplies through Unlimited Parts & Supplies, Inc. With offices in New Jersey, Miami, and Los Angeles, as well as a distribution network throughout the world, Consew is able to quickly supply and service machines for all of its customers.
When we asked Murray Feit, President & CEO, what makes Consew unique, he told us it was all about personal touch, connections, and conversations. If you call Consew with an order or a question, a human being will answer the phone and work with you to help find the best solution.
