Monday Member Spotlight: SourceAmerica

As we explore the topic of workforce development within the sewn products industry this month, it seemed a natural fit to highlight SourceAmerica for our Monday Member Spotlight.

SourceAmerica is a national nonprofit agency that connects government and corporate customers to a network of over 700 nonprofit agencies that hire and employ professionals with disabilities. It supports its member nonprofits with contract opportunities, training, and workforce development programs.

SourceAmerica supports approximately 125 independent domestic manufacturing facilities that operate in 37 states and Puerto Rico. More than 40 of these facilities provide sewn products to the federal government and commercial entities, with products ranging from aprons to military dress uniforms to biological protection suits.

We recently interviewed some of the SourceAmerica team for Behind the Seams to learn more about workforce development, technology, and the disability community. They answered our questions and also taught us some lessons we didn't expect.
