By Apparel Resources

3D in the fashion industry is not just a concept anymore and the breakthrough developments in the segment over a few years prove the potential that 3D technology holds.

Be it a retailer or a manufacturer, the need of reducing lead times, iteration and operational cost is always there. With the advent of digital technologies, it has become easier for the industry stakeholders to control the above-mentioned parameters and utilise the available information for decision making in the most sustainable way which is changing the perception of the industry – gradually yet impactfully.

Continuing the success of the first-ever virtual 3D Body Tech Festival held in 2020, Alvanon, the world’s foremost leader for 3D fit standards, in collaboration with MOTIF, the fashion industry’s first dedicated global e-learning platform, have announced to organise the second edition of the virtual tech festival from 21 to 23 September 2021.

Three days of the technology extravaganza will be dedicated to hitting reset on the professionals’ mindset about not following traditional methods anymore. The panelists and speakers will be discussing, debating and celebrating digital transformation ideas.

Though the full information of the event is yet to be disclosed by Alvanon and MOTIF, it is sure to inspire fashion technology enthusiasts all around the world, especially after the 1st edition which was much loved by the industry. One can get the registration done here –

The first 3D Tech Festival addressed issues such as designing, fitting, manufacturing processes, delivery times, selling strategies and everything related to supply chain head-on and identified four key areas – Data Collection & Standards; Creating & Marketing; Production & Supply Chain; and 3D Skills Development & Careers – where a change must be effected.

Over 60 3D tech leaders, creative directors and innovators from across the globe convened at the 3D Tech Festival during the first edition to re-imagine how people live, work and learn in an apparel world that has gone digital.
